A wedding in Naples can be many things: iconic, elegant, spectacular. But not every couple is looking for glamour or a traditional, folkloric celebration.
When foreign couples choose this city, they are often searching for something deeper: a meaningful, authentic experience.
That was exactly the case for Lexie and Geno, a couple from Texas, who celebrated their intimate wedding in Naples with 40 guests, focusing on substance over appearance.
AN AUTHENTIC ITALIAN WEDDING
This destination wedding in Naples was built around a clear vision: to create a wedding that felt real, relaxed and deeply connected to the place.
No excess, no rigid formalities.
For Lexie and Geno, a few elements were essential: the Catholic ceremony, shared with intention and participation, the presence of their closest family and friends, and a warm, spontaneous and convivial atmosphere.
A simple wedding, but rich in meaning.
One detail that perfectly reflects this approach: the couple and their guests walked to the church from a nearby hotel I recommended. It was a beautiful and unusual moment—seeing the bride walking through the streets with her bridesmaids brought smiles even from passersby. Afterwards, everyone moved together comfortably by minibus.
THE CEREMONY
The heart of the day was the Catholic ceremony, held in one of the most scenic churches in Naples: Sant’Antonio a Posillipo.
Initially, the couple had another church in mind, but the location was too chaotic and didn’t match the atmosphere we wanted to create. I showed them this alternative through photos from a previous wedding I planned there, and they immediately fell in love with it.

For them, the ceremony was not just a formality, but a meaningful and emotional moment to share with their loved ones.
One of the challenges was finding an English-speaking priest in Naples, which is not always easy. With some persistence and problem-solving, I managed to find the right one. He connected deeply with the couple, supporting them throughout the preparation together with their parish deacon in Texas, and even joined the wedding lunch.
The musical part was also carefully curated with the musicians, ensuring every detail reflected the couple’s wishes.
THE LOCATION: NAPLES AND THE SEA
Choosing Naples means embracing a natural beauty that doesn’t need to be staged.
The sea, the light, the views all contribute to a unique and authentic atmosphere.
In this wedding, the landscape was not just a backdrop, but an integral part of the experience. April gifted us with clear skies and warm spring weather, making everything even more special.
The panoramic square in front of the church became the perfect setting for couple and group photos, with breathtaking views over the sea.
THE EXPERIENCE: FOOD AND CONVIVIALITY
One of the key elements of this wedding was conviviality.
The reception was designed as a relaxed and authentic experience, centered around great food, meaningful conversations and shared moments.
The wedding lunch took place at the renowned restaurant “Al Faretto” in Marechiaro, known for its high-quality seafood and stunning location.

The couple and many guests had Neapolitan roots but had been living in the U.S. for generations, so this was also a rediscovery of local cuisine, which they truly appreciated.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they chose a deconstructed cannolo—a delicious and personal touch that perfectly reflected their style.
AN INTIMATE WEDDING FULL OF EMOTION
With only 40 guests, every presence truly mattered.
There were no extras,only people who were part of the couple’s story.
This made every moment more intense: the looks, the embraces, the words.
The day felt relaxed and joyful from the very beginning, including the getting ready, supported by a team of trusted professionals.
After lunch, we continued the celebration in another panoramic location in Naples, near Parco Virgiliano, where guests enjoyed drinks, music and dancing in a beautiful, informal setting.
MY APPROACH AS A WEDDING PLANNER IN NAPLES
As a wedding planner in Naples and across Campania, my goal is to help each couple create a wedding that truly reflects their story.
When working with couples from abroad, my role is to simplify every step, provide clear guidance and turn distance into peace of mind.
With Lexie and Geno, this meant managing everything, from legal procedures to supplier selection, from location scouting to full coordination of the day, always with a “no stress, just happiness” approach.
They were a wonderful couple to work with: kind, open and trusting, allowing me full creative freedom while giving just a few guidelines on colors and mood.
THE CREATIVE SIDE
I personally designed all the stationery, including invitations, ceremony booklets, menus and place cards.
As a special touch, I gifted each guest a bracelet with a charm inspired by the sea, which was the fil rouge of the wedding. Of course, the bride’s charm was a mermaid.
For the floral design, I collaborated with Soria Eventi, creating elegant arrangements in white and blue with roses, hydrangeas and touches of eryngium
